The Uniform Shop sells second-hand uniforms on behalf of parents. Alternatively, if you wish to, you can donate your good quality second-hand uniform pieces for students who are otherwise unable to afford uniform. Donations can be made to the Main Office.
A reminder that all uniform items need to be washed, mended, and in a fit condition for sale to be accepted. Blazers need to be dry-cleaned.
Find out how you can sell your second-hand uniform here.
Please email us at red@villa.school.nz if you have any questions.
Caring for your Uniform
Summer Dress
Please do not soak the garment. A Sard (or similar) soap should be used regularly to spot clean the white collar (do not use bleach or spray-on products). The garment can be washed on a cool, gentle machine cycle with a mild detergent. Drip dry inside out in the shade (do not tumble dry). A warm iron may be used to press the dress, but should not really be necessary.
Blazer
Please note the blazers are dry clean only.
We stock replacement buttons in the Uniform Shop at $2 each. Please use a strong yarn to replace them as the metal seems to cut through normal cotton very quickly.
Winter Skirt
These are made from a wool mix fabric. Please check the care label inside your skirt. They can be washed on a gentle cycle in the washing machine.
Cardigan
These are a wool mix garment and can be machine washed on a delicate/wool cycle.
Please check the care label on the garment.
Blouses
Please try to keep the cuffs and collar clean by regularly scrubbing with Sard soap or similar. They can be machine washed – preferably with light-coloured garments.
Naming
Please take the time to ensure all items of uniform are named.
